5x7 oil on stretched linen. I visited the Sacred Rudraksha Forest on Kauai in 2024. I walked through a bamboo forest before coming upon this grove of Moreton Bay Fig trees. I was fascinated by the massive root system. This painting is a study for a larger piece I plan to paint of this forest.
